Since the implementation of the “Two Exemption and One Subsidy” policy in 2005, governments at all levels continued to increase the investment in rural basic education, and fundamentally eased the poverty issues of dropped out students at rural compulsory education stage. In the beginning of 2010, China Youth Development Foundation conducted a research about the needs of nationwide HopePrimary Schools. It founded that there were still a lot of basic education problems in rural areas, especially in central and western areas. Students from financial difficulty families could not afford school supplies. The leisure time activities for students are rather monotonous, because of the shortage of books, sports, music and art teaching facilities. The accommodation and nutrition situation of students are also worrying.
The “Love Gathering ·Project Hope 365 Action” launched by CYDF and NetEase.com is a public charity initiative that reflects the basic education status in rural areas and the living status and needs of the students from poor families through the Internet. It aims to mobilize social resources and fund the living and studying cost of students from poor rural families.
The program advocates “donate one dollar every day with love”. Everyone donating 365 Yuan one-time can aid one primary student, and communicate with him/her by letters. The donation will go to the “Love Gathering Fund”, and be used for aiding purpose by CYDF.
CYDF will establish the “Love Gathering · Project Hope 365 Action” official website on NetEase.com（http://gongyi.163.com/love365）. It will be a platform for program promotion, interaction, management and supervision.
We are looking forward to your support and participation. Let us work together for better future of the rural children.
